Happy New Year! This year my curly resolution is to grow my fro long and strong.
The reality is that the healthier our curls become the more they shrink. Shrinkage is not a bad thing but sometimes we get discouraged by the lack of visual growth in our curls.
But don’t worry, I have you covered. These are 11 tips that will help you maintain your hair’s health while increasing hair growth. I’ve been incorporating these tips into my weekly routine and I can assure you that they do work.
Drink water and eat a well balanced diet
Minimize the use of heat in your hair
Give your scalp daily oil massages
Pre-poo your hair with hot oils before washing it
Deep condition at least once per week
Do not use products containing sulfates or harsh chemicals
Wear protective styles
Protect your hair to sleep
Take a multivitamin
Detangle your hair gently
There is no magic product, technique or tool that will give you immediate results and Rapunzel hair overnight. Just remember, be patient, embrace the shrinkage and know your curls will grow and flourish with time.
